Hygrostats
Our reliable and versatile HYGRASREG® hygrostats control and monitor the relative humidity and/or temperature of a room and control downstream humidification/dehumidification equipment or cooling or heating systems. The surface-mounted and duct hygrostats are IP65-compliant, room hygrostats achieve protection class IP30.
What is a hygrostat?
The hygrostat is used to control and monitor the relative humidity and/or temperature of a room and to control downstream humidification/dehumidification equipment or cooling/heating systems. The task of these sensors is to reliably and constantly maintain the defined setpoints for temperature and humidity of the place of use.A hygrostat is typically placed in ventilation ducts, air-conditioning ducts, production rooms, climate control cabinets, greenhouses or swimming pools - in other words, wherever humidity needs to be controlled or monitored, our hygrostats are in use.
What is the difference between a hygrostat and a hygrometer?
The terms hygrostat and hygrometer often appear together. Both devices are related to measuring the humidity of a room. However, while a hygrometer is purely a measuring device that determines the relative humidity of the room air, a hygrostat is a more complex device.Like the hygrometer, the hygrostat also measures and controls the relative humidity in a room. Afterwards, however, the hygrostat switches the connected humidifier or dehumidifier or heating system to keep the level of humidity in the room within the specified target range.
