The sensor is used in offices, hotels, conference rooms, apartments, stores, etc. and is used to evaluate the indoor climate. This enables energy-saving, needs-based room ventilation and thus a reduction in operating costs and an increase in well-being. The air quality is measured using a VOC sensor (mixed gas sensor for volatile organic substances). This
determines the pollution of the room air by contaminated gases such as cigarette smoke, body vapors, breathing air, solvent vapors, emissions, etc. With regard to the expected air contamination, a low, medium or high VOC sensitivity can be set. Alternatively, the room air can also be assessed in IAQ classifications (Indoor Air Quality from excellent to unhealthy) in accordance with the guidelines of the Federal Environment Agency. .
