With our RHEASREG® air flow guards and flow measuring shapes, you have air, gas or liquid under control. For reliable flow monitoring in fans, stork flaps, heating registers and humidifiers. Our sensors have a patented multi-chamber duct tube and can represent up to four measuring sizes.

Why is an air quality sensor useful?

Modern air quality sensors continuously provide precise data on the current indoor air quality. These measurements form the basis for intelligent control systems in building automation – for example, for controlling ventilation or air conditioning systems. As soon as the sensor registers changes, targeted measures can be initiated. This not only improves air quality, but also ensures efficient use of energy, which both reduces costs and protects the environment.

What are the potential health consequences of not regularly checking air quality?

Fatigue and poor concentration

Persistently poor indoor air quality with elevated CO₂ levels often leads to fatigue, headaches, and poor concentration. This has a direct impact on performance and well-being, especially in offices, schools, and living spaces. An air quality sensor can detect these problems early on and improve them through targeted measures.
Respiratory diseases

n the long term, insufficiently monitored air quality can lead to serious respiratory diseases. Particularly high levels of VOCs (volatile organic compounds) impair health and increase the risk of chronic complaints. Regular monitoring with modern air quality sensors protects against these risks and ensures a healthy indoor climate.

How do air quality sensors work?

Modern air quality sensors, CO2 transmitters, and mixed gas detectors use highly sensitive measurement methods. They continuously record various parameters such as CO2, temperature, humidity, and VOCs. The data is transmitted in real time to the building management system (BMS) so that ventilation and air conditioning can be adjusted automatically. As soon as the air quality sensor detects that certain limit values have been exceeded, it emits a signal. This creates an intelligent, demand-based ventilation concept that not only improves air quality but also saves energy.
