S+S Regeltechnik has expanded the pressure measuring ranges of its PREMASGARD® transmitters for gaseous and liquid media

Reliable measuring also of higher differential and relative pressures

Nuremberg, Germany, June 21, 2022 – S+S Regeltechnik, a European leader in smart sensor technology for facility and plant engineering, has innovated the family of its proven PREMASGARD® SHD pressure measuring transducers. In the SHD/SHD-SD product range, the transmitters are now available for relative pressures up to 40 bar. The measuring ranges of the PREMASGARD® SHD 692 differential pressure transmitter have been expanded to 10 bar.

The new PREMASGARD® SHD 692 features a ceramic measuring cell for media temperatures from 15 to 80 °C and can be supplied in seven versions for either U or I output of differential pressures in measuring ranges from 0 to 0.1 / 0.5 / 1 / 1.5 / 2.5 / 4 / 6 / 10 bar. The PREMASGARD® SHD device has a steel measuring cell for media temperatures from 40 to 135 °C and measures relative pressures from 0 to 1 / 2.5 / 6 / 10 / 16 / 25 / 40 bar, and the PREMASGARD® SHD-SD with a ceramic measuring cell for media temperatures from 15 to 125 °C covers the measuring ranges of 0 to 6 / 10 / 16 bar.

Both the PREMASGARD® SHD 692 and the SHD/SHD-SD models convert the measurands to a standard output signal of 0-10 V or 4…20 mA. They connect to the power supply with connectors conforming to EN 175301 and can be equipped with an optional plug-on, factory-calibrated and pre-configured display module for indicating the measured pressure value. The SHD 692 differential pressure transmitter can be installed in any orientation (mounting bracket in scope of delivery) and has internally threaded screw pipe pressure ports (Ø 6 mm). The SHD/SHD-SD relative pressure transmitters have a G½" pressure port for direct installation on pressure pipes and are approved for potable water applications in compliance with NFS/ANSI 61/372. The housing of the pressure measuring transducers is made of V2A (1.4305) stainless steel and rated to protection type IP 65.
